ACTING BIOGRAPHY
Ming-Zhu Hii has been working professionally as an actor on screen and stage for over 20 years. Recent TV work includes main cast roles as FRAN in ABC’s THE FAMILY NEXT DOOR, Taz Quinn in Stan’s PROSPER, and recurring guest star role, Dr. Rebecca Aldridge in NBC’s blockbuster series LA BREA Series 1 & 2. Other selected credits include FIRES, MS. FISHER’S MODERN MURDER MYSTERIES, and series regular Det. Senior Sgt. Mila Bronski on Network Nine’s HALIFAX RETRIBUTION, THE EX-PM and NEWTON’S LAW, MAD AS HELL, GET KRACK!N and SISTERS. Feature film appearances include 2024’s SLEEPING DOGS, THAT’S NOT ME, UPGRADE & PETER RABBIT; in addition, Ming-Zhu has multiple main stage theatre credits spanning two decades of work with companies including MTC, Malthouse Theatre, STCSA and STC and both Adelaide and Melbourne International Arts Festivals. She is also a highly regarded commercial voice artist, with a 15-year career behind the microphone.
Ming-Zhu trained at the Victorian College of the Arts School of Drama, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art and also holds a 2016 Advanced Diploma in Screen & Media from Open Channel in Screenwriting and Producing.
She is represented in Australia by IMC Management, and in the US by Brad Stokes at LINK Entertainment.
