Ming-Zhu Hii

b. 1981, Australia

Ming-Zhu Hii is an interdisciplinary artist, filmmaker, writer and director working across moving image, installation, performance and text. Her practice explores power, memory, surveillance, violence, complicity and the construction of narrative through hybrid forms that sit between experimental cinema, installation and live performance. Through poetic and fragmented storytelling, she creates immersive works that examine systems of power, authorship, marginalisation and the instability of truth.
